


Accessing Your Flow: Channeling creativity through positive psychology, present moment awareness and tuning inward | 3-Part Creative Healing Workshop Series
Join Jessica Young, LMHC, intuitive artist and licensed Psychotherapist in a three-part creative healing workshop series offered live via Zoom. This workshop is not just for artists, this workshop is for anyone with a creative yearning and a desire to heal through creative expression. This workshop-series will be interactive for those who join live but a recorded replay will be available for those who can’t make the live dates. You will have unlimited access to me during the three weeks for any questions or guidance you might need via email and also through a private Facebook Group for workshop participants. You will be able to interact with other participants in between our live sessions to keep the healing momentum going.
Dates:
Part 1: Wednesday July 15th at 7pm EST
Part 2: Wednesday July 22nd at 7pm EST
Part 3: Wednesday July 29th at 7pm EST
You will receive helpful guidance and daily exercises to complete including guided meditations, journaling prompts and mini art challenges to complete between each live workshop date. The hope is that the 3 weeks will serve as a creative healing retreat for you to begin to build easier access to a consistent healing flow state.
Part 1: Creative Healing Discussion with Journaling & Guided Meditation
Learn about the theories and science behind flow state and how it can be accessed and utilized to support creative healing
Explore how to move through creative blocks and how mental and emotional health impacts our ability to fully commit to a healing creative process
Address negative core beliefs that may be contributing to a disjointed creative process and ability to fully access an authentic flow state
Guided Meditation for creative blocks
Journaling Exercises (art journal or blank non lined journal recommended for this course)
Part 2: Live Intuitive Fluid Art Class with Discussion & Guided Meditation
Jessica will paint a fluid abstract piece live going through her process for achieving deep flow state while also following technique
Jessica will be working with fluid acrylics, water and a stretched canvas. A materials list will be emailed to all participants prior to the class. You may choose to work on anything you’d like for the live class but I recommend that if you’re not a painter or artist you consider engaging in either painting or drawing as a form of expression, it’s a great way to stretch your creative muscles and I will provide all the guidance you need. Making something “ugly” is encouraged if that’s all you feel you can do - all the more reason to take this workshop!

Part 3: Reflection, Guided Meditation, Journaling, Q&A
Dive deeper into the concepts and theories that come up throughout the 3 weeks.
How to maintain consistency with positive mental health, self care and allowing yourself to fully embrace the human creative experience, even the shadow aspects
Explore how to build confidence in sharing your work with the world and overcoming fears of being seen and of being seen as worthy and ENOUGH
Guided Meditation for Empowerment with journaling
This is the part of the course we encourage folks to participate fully in. This will be an open forum for participants to share experiences, reflections and ask questions.
