8x10x1.5” original mixed media artwork affixed to cradled Birchwood. The beautiful piece of original artwork is encapsulated in several layers of artist-grade epoxy resin for a glass-like finish. The piece has a contemporary antique look that is accented with stunning pops of Gold leaf channeling the Japanese tradition of Kintsugi: the art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with Gold.

Meaning behind the piece:
Healing takes on many forms and is not always what we expect when we think of traditional medicine. This piece explores the multidimensionality of healing oneself physically, emotionally and spiritually. Channeling lucid dreaming, energy work and Psychedelic insights this pieces works to capture the essence of our complex universe and our role within it. In this life I have chosen to heal myself through both traditional and non-traditional medicine and whichever way you choose to heal - losing yourself and coming back again is always part of the deal.
It’s an interesting moment when you first meet yourself.
It’s masked as a trip or a journey but really you’ve always been right here.
You lose yourself...
And come back again.
Feeling lost in a dream that’s not quite reality.
Lost in the stars and the galaxy.
Gliding fearlessly along the ribbons the Milky Way.
Losing self.
Losing ego.
Winding in and out of fear.
Journeying but not going very far.
Person without ego.
Me without I.
Stripped down to all that is energy and vibration.
Returning to source.
Returning to Earth.
When we lose ourselves we are never far.
Meeting ourselves just as we are.
A homecoming disguised as a lucid dream.
An arrival masked as a trip.
