6x24x2.5” original mixed media artwork affixed to extra-deep cradled Birchwood. The beautiful piece of original artwork is encapsulated in several layers of artist-grade epoxy resin for a glass-like finish. The Golden moons are hand drawn and gilded with a touch of Opalescent flakes in the surface of the resin. This piece can be hung horizontally or vertically.
Hanging wire is installed on the back of each piece. Your artwork will come signed, dated and branded by the artist with a certificate of authenticity.

Meaning behind the piece:
This piece features the phases of the moon as the focal point as a way of representing the many phases of the healing journey. It is often a difficult task to accept the darker phases of healing, to accept that dark moods, thoughts and personal low-points are often unavoidable parts of the journey through life. The colorful backdrop a reminder during each phase, of the possibility to a brighter next step. Jessica has spent much of her life struggling with difficult moods, deep depressions and also extraordinary highs - to her, the phases of the moon provide comfort in that although the moon is seemingly always changing, it is actually always the same. Beyond the stars the moon shines bright, whole, and untouched - not much different than the human spirit.

The topsy turvy journey is hardly ever black and white.
Some days are good.
Some days are not.
Some days are both.
Mornings you wake up brighter than the sun...
or darker than the night.
Evenings you drift off into a black abyss...
or toss and turn like the ocean waves.
It comes in phases...healing
Some days you move forward.
Some days you go back.
Some days you do both.
It’s a constant shedding of old layers...
Building up the glow beneath it all.
Searching for meaning,
Hoping to find truth.
Purpose.
It’s okay to wax and wane like the moon...
To shift..
To change shape and form.
Because like the moon you always come back to whole.
